Gervit W is fed with drinking water to compensate for vitamin deficiencies caused by feeding (grain feeding only) during breeding, travel, moulting, exhibitions and unfavourable seasons. Betaine has a positive effect on water balance and liver metabolism, which is useful during heat flights. It is also recommended to feed Gervit-W to cover the increased vitamin requirement after exertion.
Feeding recommendation: During the breeding and travel season, feed 1 filled screw cap = 10ml Gervit-W twice a week in 2 liters of water. During the rest of the time, GERVIT-W once a week is sufficient. To compensate for the increased vitamin requirement, administer Gervit-W several times a week. Do not give Gervit-W on the day of travel during the travel season. Copper and iron drinkers can have a negative effect on the shelf life of the vitamins.
Due to the higher vitamin content compared to complete feed, this supplementary feed may only be fed to pigeons at a maximum of 30 ml per 2 L of water. For poultry, a supplementary content of a maximum of 1,000 mg choline chloride/kg complete feed is recommended.
